- Interval running: Running is the number one exercise for losing weight. You can burn more fat by running than doing almost any other exercise. You just need to be doing interval running to maximize the amount of weight you can lose. This isn't jogging, this is real running at a pace that is hard to keep and works your body hard. When you do interval running you run and take a small break in the middle and do it again. Sprint for one lap and rest for just one minute. If you rest for longer than that it gets harder to do it again. Sprint another lap and rest for one minute. Do this at least 4 times so that you get to a mile running as fast as you possibly can.

The way to do this exercise is to use a dumb-bell, hold it on your shoulders and do a simple squat. If you do these squats quickly your exercise regime becomes a cardio workout and burns a huge amount of calories.
