The Fitbit One is the latest top of the range model of exercise tracker in the Fitbit line of products. It replaces the previous model named the Ultra. The new Fitbit One is now smaller, flatter and sleeker, than the previous model. This makes it much easier to use, where it can be carried in a pocket or simply clipped onto clothing. You will be unaware that you are wearing the workout tracker. The screen has been dramatically improved, now much brighter than before. This makes reading so much easier. A brilliant new feature is Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, which automatically syncs data to your phone. This is a great addition.

The Fitbit One has an altimeter built in which will record any changes in elevation. This is particularly important if you walk hilly routes or use stairs, as it will provide a more accurate measurement of calories used. The other great feature is that the Fitbit One can also track your sleep. It is designed so that you can wear it on your wrist at night to monitor the quality of your sleep and record the hours you have slept. It incorporates a silent, vibrating alarm which you can set. This will wake you up and get you going, without disturbing your partner.

The Fitbit Zip has all the general features of the One except it does not have an altimeter to record elevation. It also does not have a sleep tracker function with the vibrating alarm. The absence of these features will be important for many people. If this is the case, go for the better specced top of the range Fitbit One. Despite being the entry level workout tracker, the Fitbit Zip comes in a range of 5 bright colours which look really fun and funky.

Both of the new Fitbit devices are extremely easy to wear because they are small and lightweight. You can clip them onto your belt or waistband or wear them in a pocket. Whilst you exercise they can even clip onto your bra or sporting top. They can remain visible or hidden if you prefer. You will completely forget that you are wearing the device. They really are unobtrusive and comfortable to wear. If you like to flash them about, the bright, fun colours will be a real positive talking point with your friends.

Now the information obtained through using the Fitbit trackers is the main point for those people who wish to track their level of activity. These are brilliant devices for people trying to lose weight. Even people not on an exercise program will be able to check their level of incidental exercise.
