Most of the bad food types, like burgers, potato chips, pizza etc... are known to have a very high amount of metric units and saturated fats. As compared to apples, these, and indeed many of the foods and snacks consumed on a daily basis, fail in terms of providing what the body requires to stay healthy. The benefits of consuming these foods are outweighed by the harmful effects.

Whenever there is a craving to take a snack, instead of going for the obvious options like biscuits, chocolate or cake, it is wise to consider what is contained in each of these snacks as compared to the amount of calories in an apple, without forgetting the nutritional benefits.
