Weight Loss and Superfoods

If you're not familiar with superfoods, then that's great because you're about to find out. Typically, superfoods are plant foods. They have what's called phytonutrients. Other things you'll find in superfoods are vitamins, minerals, prebiotics (special fibers), and more. Basically, these plant foods are great for you, hence, the "super" attribution. In fact, many of these superfoods have properties that science has found to help in either preventing or treating serious diseases. The list of benefits you'll get from superfoods is long and in addition to those benefits, you can use superfoods for weight loss.

You'll want to eat more whole grains such as whole grain cereals and breads. The Harvard School of Public Health found that women who ate whole grains over processed grains weighed less overall and for longer periods. Whole grains are healthier and are a good source of prebiotic factors which keep your gut bacteria population strong. And because whole grains are high in fiber, you'll feel full longer; you won't get hungry too soon after a meal.

Despite warnings that they can cause cholesterol levels, you can still eat eggs in moderation. Eggs are actually fat burning foods so they are great for losing weight.

When you make berries a regular part of your diet, you'll be able to lose weight because they support healthy digestion and waste elimination.
