Weight Management Tips: How To Curb Hunger And Still Lose Stomach Fat

You do not have to feel hungry all the time when you are trying to lose stomach fat. Many people think this is a price you have to pay if you want to lose weight. But that is not the case. In fact, it is one reason some people do not start a weight loss plan or do not keep it up.

Feeling hungry all the time tests your resolve. It puts too much pressure on you and, let's face it, it is not much fun. But you do not have to put yourself through this torture. You can curb hunger and still lose weight. It is all about eating the right food. Here are three things you can do to curb hunger pangs.

Eat Filling Foods
You can curb hunger by choosing filling foods. The foods that do this best are high fibre foods and protein. That's why you can have as many vegetables as you like. They are full, of fibre, which makes you feel satisfied. They expand in your stomach making you feel fuller longer. Vegetables are healthy filling foods, so you are getting vitamins and minerals you need to maintain good health, and you are keeping hunger pangs at bay so that you are not testing your will power.

Eat Protein
Protein is another food that makes you feel fuller and helps you lose stomach fat. There is plenty of good protein you can add to your diet: lean red meat, fresh fish, poultry, eggs, raw nuts, and beans. It is also important to get a certain amount of fat in your diet. You can get this from such food as avocadoes, fish, nuts, beans and olive oil. All these supply healthy oils that are essential to your body and are part of providing a balanced, healthy diet. Vegetables also contain some protein.

Drink Plenty of Water
Have a glass of water before each meal and at other times during the day. Sometimes your body can mistake thirst for hunger and it is actually looking for water when we think it is looking for food. Our brain has trouble distinguishing the two. You may not want to drink copious amounts of water, which is what some people recommend, but you can drink when you are thirsty. This will not only help you feel fuller but, according to some medical evidence, help your brain function better as it needs the fluid.

Choosing the right foods can curb hunger and still help you lose stomach fat. You need energy to keep going and to fight the good fight. If you feel hungry and lack energy it can be too much of a test of your will power. In should not be this hard, as you may find it too hard to keep going. If this happens, you may not start again. A good weight loss plan is one that lets you eat as much as you need and still lose weight. If you include plenty of protein and high fibre foods in your diet you will curb hunger and lose your stomach fat, which is exactly what you want to do.

Are Body Confidence and Weight Loss Mutually Exclusive?

What is body confidence?
As women and especially mums I think we often struggle with loving our bodies. Once we have babies our bodies change and stretch out of shape and they don't necessarily ping back as quickly as we would like. Developing the confidence to step out with our bodies and say to the general public, "This is my body shape and I don't care what you think" is something we all need to do.

Do you have body confidence?
When you get dressed in the morning to you dread looking in the mirror or does it not bother you at all? I know a large number of my clients hate (yes, hate) looking at themselves in the mirror, especially before they get dressed. There are 2 points to note here; the first being that you are far more critical of your body than anyone else and also that everyone looks worse naked than they do in their clothes. But how can you develop body confidence and why should you?

It's not a quick process but here are a few things you can do to develop your confidence around your body shape and size
  • Find bits of your body that you do like. Start small and don't overthink it. If you think you have nice eyes then tell yourself and celebrate them.

  • Build up a new 'good bit' every day. So, on day 2 remember the bit you liked yesterday, remind yourself of it and add a new one. On day 3, remind yourself of the previous 2 and add another and so on.

  • If you can afford it have your colours and a style analysis done. This will help you make the most of what you have by making sure that your clothes are accentuating your best bits. If you can't afford to see someone at the moment try buying a book - "What you wear can change your life" by Trinny and Susannah is a good one.

  • Buy a new bra. Seriously. Most of us are wearing the wrong size for a start, but even if you are wearing the right size, after a while the elastic will start to stretch and you won't be supported as well as you should be. Wearing pretty underwear will also give you a bit of a lift and you'll generally feel better about yourself.
So if you have body confidence, do you still need to lose weight?
That decision is up to you. It is possible to be confident without being totally happy with your size. You can still want to fit into your old jeans or wear a party dress you can no longer fit into, whilst feeling confident and happy in yourself. In fact, a little more body confidence can help you to lose the extra weight, it will give you that spring in your step and confidence to know you can do anything you choose to do.

I believe that you can feel confident on your journey to being slimmer. If you have a certain body shape, it may be that regardless of size you will still have to come to terms with your hips being wide or your legs being short. They are not necessarily the same problem, so developing your body confidence is a separate issue although just as important.

7 Essential Steps in Weight Loss For Men Over 40

If you've ever tried to get in shape with a weight loss program, you know how tough it can be for men. Sure, we tend to lose fat faster because the average male has more muscle mass that the average female. The problem is we tend to want to eat what we've always eaten and figure that we'll work it off with exercise.
Clinical studies have shown that people generally over estimate the amount of exercise they do and under estimate the amount of food they eat. So diet and exercise specialists hear the following quite a lot.

"I've tried to get back to my goal weight in the past and for some reason, always seemed to get started with a lot of enthusiasm then within five weeks, I lose focus or break with my program all together. It seems that I just can't make it to the goal."

If you've said this to yourself a few times in your life perhaps you need to step back and evaluate what's missing from your program.

What I've found is that there are usually six parts to the weight loss process for men especially if they are over 40. Men begin to slow down at that age. Their metabolism is slower, their muscles aren't as strong and their eyesight declines. Middle age is no fun when you are out of shape.

Here are my six essential steps to weight loss for men over 40. The trick is to keep all six rules in mind when executing your next weight loss program.

1. Get a full checkup

This is vital if you are a man over the age of 40. If you are over weight, you can be looking at diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and other health concerns of the modern middle age male.

2. Start with a plan of action

Before you even start a set of pushups, you need to have a plan of action. You need a road map of where you are going and how you are going to get there. It needs to be written down. This plan of action must be accessed daily for the best possible results.I've found that if you miss a day of entering your information, that's no big deal but if you miss two days, you are beginning the slide to failure. The daily session should not take long but it should include putting your basic results down and reviewing your previous results. This is not really for tracking your results on a daily basis but for keeping you on the right track.

3. Eat six small meals

You cannot get around the fact that what you eat will influence how much you weigh. Even if you have a thyroid condition (your check up will tell you if you do.) you can positively influence your body fat level by the foods you choose. To keep is simple, eat six meals a day; no meal should be bigger than your fist.

4. Execute strength training and cardio

Alternate your workouts five to six days a week with cardio for no more than 30 minutes and an average of 40 minutes to an hour for strength training. On your strength training days, you should warm up and stretch the way you do on your cardio days.

5. Drink a lot of water

You'll want to get a gallon jug and fill it every morning. If you can get a good water filter for your faucet, get one. Place the jug in the fridge the night before is an excellent way to get things started. Drink your water cold for the thermogenic effect.

6. Get plenty of rest each night

If you are a night owl like me, you'll want to review your schedule in order to get maximum rest for your body. You'll be working your tail off to get to your goal and you'll need the get your muscles to recover properly in order to gain the benefits.

7 Get your head into the game

This plan will not work unless you get yourself squarely committed to doing it every day. Success should be measured in minute by minute decisions. If you mentally check off your water intake, or enter your food portions, that's taking positive control.

Your success will be measured in the amount of positive decisions you make along the journey to your goal. You will slip now and then but if you keep tracking your progress, even when it seems that you aren't making much, you will always be able to make adjustments.

Getting back into shape is not easy for men over 40 but you can do it. The health benefits alone are worth the effort. Your love life as well as your self esteem will dramatically improve when you are at your personal best.

You can lose the fat and gain your strength and endurance if you follow these simple rules. For more information on trimming the fat and feeling great, go to my website. Go to => http://www.fatburningworkoutafter40.com/

Top 3 Enjoyable Weight Loss Tips For Women

As many women across the world know all too well, losing weight isn't easy. A woman simply can't slim down when she's packing on the pounds with every passing minute. Try as she might, she just can't motivate herself to exercise or diet, even though she knows it'll benefit her in the end. Weight loss can be frustrating, hard work, and boring. So how does one deal with it? If any woman is tired of getting nowhere in her efforts, she should read on for the top 3 weight loss tips to get her thinner in no time!

There's an old tip that many women seem to pass up every time. Not only should you remove unhealthy foods - add healthy ones! It's true that cutting back on portions is a huge part of weight loss, but that doesn't mean you should be limited when eating healthy foods. It's a fact that when you remove something from your diet, you want to keep going back, and the effort is in vain. But when you add healthy foods to your diet, you'll see improved results, and you don't have to hold back.

Another essential tip: Get active, but don't see it as exercise. Exercise makes many immediately think of heavy workouts or lifting weights. However, exercise comes in many shapes and sizes. It could be going for a bike ride or taking a nice long walk, any movement counts towards your goal. If the word 'exercise' turns you off, don't see it like that. See it like one simple step towards your goal.

You don't have to get rid of the foods you love to eat healthier. It's a lot easier to eat smaller portions of your favourite food with healthier ingredients than to give it up completely. If you like bacon, try switching to thinner, leaner meat, and eat it with wheat toast in the morning. Ice cream? Try low-fat. Anything and everything can be made at least a little healthier if you water down its ingredients.

These are only a few of the many weight loss tips that every woman should follow. If she found losing the pounds a horrible, pointless lifestyle before, now she can do it with confidence and cheer. Everyone knows that losing weight isn't easy, however it can be a lot less difficult with these three tips that will make the exercise and nutrition parts of losing weight easier.

Fast Weight Loss Tips For Women Who Want a Slim Waist, Sexy Butt, and Lean Legs

Here are some fast weight loss tips for women who want a SLIM waist, SEXY butt, and LEAN legs. I'm going to give you 3 simple exercises that you can DO AT HOME.

They only take minutes a day... and for that you can expect to see some near immediate results in your waist, butt, and legs.

Fast Weight Loss Tips For Women

1. Slim waist... do the vacuum pose
What this is... a version of sucking in your belly. Suck in your lower abs as much as you can... around you belly button area. Hold that position for 15-30 seconds. Repeat for a total of 5 minutes a day (without counting the rest times). You'll lose 1.5-2 inches in about a month with just this exercise.

2. Sexy butt... do isometric butt squeezes
For 5 minutes a day, squeeze your butt together. Standing up, sitting, or lying down... it doesn't matter when or where... just do it. I prefer to do it lying down as I watch tv. Squeeze for at least 30 seconds each time.

3. Walk on an inclined treadmill for lean legs
Not only does this lean out your legs, but it also drips off fat from your whole body. Hopefully you can find a treadmill that can incline. If so, incline it to 10-15 degrees. Not much, but it's plenty... you'll see.
This slight adjustment will turn walking into a SUPER-EXERCISE for weight loss... because simply walking on a flat surface isn't very good for weight loss. Do this for 15 or 20 minutes a day. If you can't get to a treadmill, hopefully you can find a nearby hill to walk up.

Try those fast weight loss tips and KISS YOUR FAT GOODBYE!

Weight Loss Tips For Women - How To Drop A Whole Dress Size In 15 Days

When it really gets down to it, it doesn't take a long time to lose weight. Its a simple mathematical formula that when followed works every time. If you burn more calories than you take in, you will lose weight. Below I am going to share with you a few tips that will help you drop a whole dress size in the next two weeks.

Make The Commitment

Are you serious about losing weight? If so you need to make a serious commitment. There is no room for excuses. If you have to wake up a couple of hours earlier so you can get to the gym, do it. If you have to start cooking, which you will, do it. Fifteen days will go by really fast. And if you aren't committed you will be right where you are now in two weeks.

Get Your Diet Right

Diet by far is the most important part of weight loss. What you eat and how you eat counts more than anything else. Michael Dansinger, MD, the medical doctor from the biggest loser, suggests eating 7 calories per pound of body weight. So if you currently weigh 250 pounds you would eat 1750 calories a day. Never cut your calories to less than 1050 a day. Its not safe.

If you want to put your weight loss into overdrive you should focus on eating a lot of fruits, vegetables, boneless skinless chicken breasts, egg whites and salmon. Make sure you get enough protein everyday so you won't loss muscle. To make it easier for you to eat healthy go through your house and get rid of any tempting foods. This is only temporary and you can eventually add those foods back into your diet in moderation.

Up Your Physical Activity

To drop a whole dress size in 15 days you are going to have to exercise. There is no way around this. If you are exercising right now you will need to take it up a notch so you can reach your goal. To get the best results you will need to do both cardio and strength training. Cardio should be done everyday and strength training 2 or 3 times a week. Try to do interval training as it will burn more calories in less time.

By interval training I mean walking for one minute and then running as fast as you can for one minute. Repeat that routine for 30 minutes. If you can, workout twice a day. That will really help you drop those unwanted pounds quickly.

Avoid Fad Diets

Its always tempting to go on a fad diet. Especially if you aren't willing to do what it takes to lose weight the right way. I am personally not a fan of any of the fad diets out there. They are very restrictive and many of them are extremely unhealthy. Yes you might lose weight, but as soon as you start eating regular meals again you will gain it all back. So avoid pill, potions or any other magic weight loss formula you see on TV.

Get focused, get committed and you will get the results you are after. No it won't be easy but it will be well worth it when you can fit into those jeans of that dress.

Get Started NOW!

If you truly want to lose weight now is the time. Stop pushing it off until tomorrow or next Monday. Get started NOW! Just imagine being 10 pounds lighter in the next 15 days. It's possible. But only if you get serious and get started right now.

Losing weight is one of the hardest things to do. I know because I struggled with my weight my whole life. But once I learned how and what to eat that all changed. I started to lose weight and feel confident again. You too can do the same thing. Are you ready to feel confident and sexy again? If so check out Eat Yourself Thin NOW!

Practical Weight Loss Tips for Moms: Don't Let New Parenthood Be Your Excuse For Not Losing Weight

Could having a baby be bad for your health? We all know that eating right and keeping active makes for a healthier pregnancy, increases the chance to have a healthy baby, and makes it faster and easier to shed the baby weight and get back in shape after your child is born.

A recent study, conducted at University of Minnesota, found that mothers of infants and young children ate more calories, more sugar and more fatty foods and weigh more than women without children. Fathers, as well as mothers, are less active than adults who don't have kids. The study of 1,520 adults in their 20s and 30s concludes that early childhood years are a "very high-risk time period" for parents when they need diet advice and ways to exercise that take into account the demands of young parenthood.

The study found that fathers still eat about the same amount as men without children, but get about a third less physical activity each week than men who don't have kids. This study didn't take into account how many of these parents are single or who have just had babies and haven't yet shed the extra pregnancy pounds.

If you're a young parent, struggling to juggle the demands of family life and need ways to get healthier and lose weight, here are some useful tips:
  1. Get out every day. Put little ones in the stroller or wagon and go for a brisk walk or jog for half an hour. You'll lighten your mood, feel less anxious, help your metabolism, sleep better and lose weight.

  2. If there is one word for new parenthood, that word is exhaustion. Grab all the sleep you can - even brief naps during the day, if possible - while your baby learns how to sleep at night like the rest of us.

  3. Eliminate the pop (or soda), even the diet ones, and drink more water - at least 8 glasses a day. If you hate the taste of water, flavour it with a slice of lemon, lime, orange or grapefruit or a splash of fruit juice.

  4. Stop eating bad food. Fast food and convenience foods may be quick, but they're loaded with salt, sugar, fat and calories, not to mention the chemical additives and preservatives. They're also expensive. What you need is what you'll eat more of on a well-designed, healthy diet -- more healthy (the bright-coloured) fruits and vegetables, lean meat, fish, skinless chicken and turkey, and healthy grains.

  5. Rid your shelves of junky foods including sugary cereals, packaged cookies and snacks, chips, pretzels, crackers, ice cream, hot chocolate - anything that has sugar, salt, lots of calories, or chemicals. Eliminate all these temptations, and stock up on healthy snacks - such as yogurt, apples, cottage cheese, nuts (but not roasted nuts), and make your own low-fat, low-sugar treats (get the kids to help).

  6. If you want your children to grow up healthy, avoid illness, and never struggle with weight loss and fitness, you have to not merely talk about it, you have to live that way yourself. Choose a good, sensible and nutritious eating plan that you all can enjoy. Get out as a family and play - learn to swim, go hiking, fly kites, explore your city or town, play team sports. Lead by example.

  7. Pool tasks and resources with other parents. Keep all the kids while another parent does all the food shop for both families, for example.

  8. You need 'me time' to maintain your sanity. Schedule in at least a few hours a week - get a sitter, send the kids to a neighbour's, whatever you need to do, and plan some relaxing - it could just be reading or surfing the net. Or get out with friends for a few hours.

  9. Whether or not you have a partner, schedule date night, once a week. Plan something fun - to reconnect with your lover, or to get out with friends and maybe meet someone new.
The fact is, being over-stressed, overweight and out of shape doesn't make you a better parent, it makes you an unhealthy one who is modelling bad eating habits to her or his children.

Don't let parenthood be your excuse for not being in shape! Find more tips, including how to lose 10 pounds fast the healthy way with a smart eating plan that works for busy moms and helps shed pounds and keep them off for life. Here's how to get started today with your smart and practical weight loss and fitness plan.

Healthy Weight Loss Advice

Healthy weight loss is the ideal way to lose your weight without compromising on your health. Healthy eating combined with exercise will help you to lose weight and increase your body's fitness. Today's sedentary lifestyle has caused overweight or obesity to become a common problem. Many people suffer from a weight problem and want to lose weight fast. But there is no magic diet or exercise which can help you to reduce weight overnight.

Healthy eating is the first step towards weight loss. Healthy food habits will not only help you to reduce weight but will also prevent health risks like heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and other conditions. Many people start crash dieting to lose weight fast. Crash diets are not good for your health, and as soon as you stop dieting, you gain back the weight fast. In modern fast-paced lifestyle, it is not easy to maintain a healthy diet. Sometimes healthy weight loss can be a real struggle. Many people opt for different fad diets or quick-fix plans for fast weight loss without consulting a dietitian or doctor. But, most of the time, these fad diets or crash dieting do not work and often have adverse effects on your health.

A healthy weight loss process is not only helpful for losing weight, but it also make you look and feel better. It has long-term health benefits as well. A healthy diet plan reduces your chance of developing serious health risks like heart disease or diabetes.

If you want healthy weight loss, then the first step towards your goal would be to adopt healthy eating habits. For losing weight, first you have to cut down on fatty food items. Foods high in fat not only lead to weight gain and obesity, but also increase the risk of high cholesterol, hardening of the arteries and even cancer. You should include more wholesome foods like fruits, vegetables and whole grains, while cutting down on refined flours and greasy, fatty and sugary foods.

Some Useful Tips On Healthy Dieting:

Healthy diet plays an important role in a healthy life. It is said that variety is the spice of life, which is also true for maintaining a healthy diet for the long-term. If you have to eat the same healthy diet everyday, then it is very likely that soon you will give up your healthy diet for healthy weight loss. To avoid monotony in foods, be sure to use a variety of foods that are available in the grocery store. Try a combination of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and whole grains. Variety in foods is also important because different types of foods contain different types of nutrients.

While maintaining a healthy diet plan, you should not feel deprived of your favorite foods, since that can lead you to give up your healthy lifestyle. You don't have to give up all your favorite foods in order to lose weight and to follow a healthy lifestyle. You can enjoy your favorite foods but eat them in moderation. You can have an occasional treat of your favorite food and still have healthy weight loss.
